Hey bud, so another so called Christian is predicting the end of the world tomorrow. It’s crazy how people bend the truth of the Bible or they ignore any verses that contradict what they are preaching.

Yes, without a doubt there are many end times prophecies throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament that people can use to show we are close. Yes, most of those warning signs have already happened, and yes I personally believe we are getting very close to the end.

BUT, Jesus said it in his own words below. No one will know when. That means David Meade is false. It’s an easy test…….If someone says they know “the end” is on this date, or in this year, ask them about Mark 13:32 or Matthew 34:36.

We should always live every day like it could be our last here on earth. No one will ever know which day that will actually be, so don’t believe anyone who tells you they do.

Mark 13:32-33 ESV: But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.”

Love you young fella!

Hey bud. This verse below is so true. No one has an excuse, because all can see and feel inside their hearts the wonders of our creator. Not all will “choose” to believe just from that “feeling” though. This is where we as believers come in. Are we showing them what faith looks like, or are we turning them off because of our hypocrisy?

Sadly, many come to try and know Him; only to see the men and women who claim to represent him lie and cheat and hate. We are what they see. What we do and say is so important if we truly want to make a difference bud.

I just feel so horrible for people who have been turned off on God by the fake, uncaring nature they witnessed from their church and or Christians. They can also look back at history and read about the stupid and evil things people did in the name of Christianity.

However son; just like you can’t blame me and your mom and how we raised you for things you do as an adult…………those who choose “not” to believe can’t blame it on anyone or anything else when they stand before the Judge of all.

I am comforted by this verse as well as the fact the Bible is so available to read for anyone. If they want to know the truth, it is right there.

Romans 1:20. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Love you young fella!

My fellow Christians and God fearing friends.  It is time to stand up and show the world what we are made of!  It’s time we start acting like Christians.  It’s time to step up our game.  It’s time to show them why our side is better.  It’s time for grace and forgiveness and understanding.  It’s time to put politics aside and start living the life that others will want to mirror.  It’s time to rely on God and not our politicians.

We won’t win them over by engaging in useless rhetoric.  We won’t win them over by preaching but not practicing.  Understand where they are coming from.   Love them, show them, and answer them if they ask you why you are so calm in this storm.  People are scared, angry, hopeless……doesn’t this sound like an opportune time to show them there is a solution? Don’t know how a Christian should act?  Open the Bible, read it.

Let’s get er done.

Hi mijo, you gonna sleep all day? I’m sure you look forward to the day I don’t come into your room at 7am saying that. Haha
Hey, just wanted to tell you more about your mom. Stuff she won’t ever tell you because she is not like that. She has been incredibly patient and nimble with me over the last 20 years. She has went to bed many a night only to lay there awake trying to figure out what the heck I’m doing.
She has seen glimpses of me when I am operating at 110% and she knows what I’m capable of. She just wondered if I would ever figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
She stayed patient. She always supported me. She kept us afloat in lean times. She saw something in me that I didn’t. You know your mom, does she come off as patient to you? Yet, her patience with me was very un-Cannon-like, if you know what I mean.
I was able to share some great news with her the other day. She is seeing me change and I think she is starting to see the payback for all her hard work and patience with me.
There should never be a doubt that any success you and I have as individuals was because God put your mom in our lives. She’s done such a good job fixing me that I think I could actually function on my own now. haha, maybe…
Take your time finding the right wife. Pray about it. Look for someone you can learn from. Look for a challenge. Look to see if they are like your mom. Do they tell you want you want to hear?………..or what you need to hear?
I love you bud! As I am sure you can tell, things are changing and the excitement level is up. I haven’t felt this good about every aspect of my life in over 15 years. I owe that to God and the incredible woman he put in my life!
James 1:17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Hey bud. I think it’s pretty interesting that I am studying The Book of Joshua at the same time millions of people are clamoring over the upcoming solar eclipse.
I just finished Joshua Chapter 10. Joshua asked God to keep the sun still until the Israelites’ victory in battle was complete. The sun and the moon stayed in their same spots for 24 hours. Now that is amazing!
Remember, the sun and the moon were created by God to be containers for the light. You know who is the source of all light…….
We are never to worship things He “created”. We are only to worship Him, the “CREATOR”. What is considered worshiping the sun and moon? I would say if you are spending more time thinking about, planning for, and being excited about the eclipse than you are about the ONE who created it, you might be worshipping them.
I wonder what God thinks about this upcoming solar eclipse consuming everyone like it’s some big religious experience?
I’m not saying don’t go check it out. I’m saying give credit for it where credit is due. If you are going to get all worked up over it, there better be lots of thanks to the One who created it all.
Love you bud. If you want to keep an eye up in the sky, look to the East. I’m not sure when it is coming, but it will sure be a sight to see!
I love you Zachary!

Hi son.  It’s a free country. You are allowed to protest, talk crap about police, kneel down for the national anthem, draw unwanted media attention for your team, and you can even hate the country you live in.
However…….being a free country also means that employers are free to turn you down for a job based on how you exercise your freedoms.
Your freedoms can have consequences. This doesn’t mean stay silent and act vanilla. It means be conscious of your decisions.
It’s like the guy with the face tattoo who had a dream of selling mobility scooters to senior citizens. The face tattoo limited his options, and seniors won’t buy anything from him. Colin Kaepernick limited his options. It was his choice. We will see if it was worth it for him.
Love you bud!

Hey son, just wanted to start out by saying how proud I am of you!  You are an awesome kid!  I can’t believe you are in 10th grade…..sick!  haha

This is a story from the Bible that I don’t remember ever hearing at church.  It is a parable that Jesus tells and is a picture of what life will be like after we leave this earth and how far apart heaven and hell are.   It is also telling us how we should live while we are still here.

This is why we must always tell our story to all who ask us.  We don’t want anyone to end up like the rich man Jesus speaks about below!  There is a choice we all must make.   We will have to spend eternity living with that choice.  I think it is extra terrifying that the rich man can see heaven but can’t get there.   Read below:

There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:19-31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He is there with you right now. All you need to do is find a quiet place and talk to Him. Let Him know what’s on your mind. Let Him know you need His help.

Let Him know you love Him and that you are sorry you don’t lean on Him more. Let Him know you remember what He taught you about fear being the opposite of faith. Let Him know you are struggling with it.

Then listen. Sit there for a half hour. Let God know you are serious. There is nothing He loves more than when we admit we need Him and we can’t do it on our own. He won’t tell you “I told you so” and He won’t force you to love Him and rely on Him.

It’s not too late. Get on your knees.

Hey bud. I sure had a crazy but great day yesterday! I ended up getting to spend some time with an old friend made new again; my brother from another mother, Eddie Silva. Eddie’s dad Lorenzo, a long-time Chandler resident, just passed away. I figured I’d go over and hang out with him for a little while.  Eddie and I have known each other since 5th grade. We lost touch after high school as we both went our separate ways through life the last 25+ years.  He is a good guy, salt of the earth.
We have a lot in common, and we talked at length about how past experiences have given us a much different perspective on what is important in life now that we are old men. We have both come to the conclusion that simplicity is best. Life is so much better when kept simple.
The more we want……the more we “have” to have……the more complicated life gets. You need to work more to make more, to buy more, to have more. When you work more, you spend less time with your loved ones; so that starts to complicate things. You get more bills coming in the mail each month, you have more people to answer to. You have less freedom. You save little, and are not as prepared when things like a layoff or injury hit you out of the blue.
I told Eddie I would love to find a way to help kids out there avoid some of the wasted time and money and hard times that befell both of us. Eddie said it will be a difficult task because “after all, look at us, we didn’t listen to our parents”.
Then it struck me……We didn’t listen because our parents were too stiff! They had too many rules and values we had to live by. They weren’t risky enough for us. They weren’t fun. We had to say the pledge of allegiance, we had to have dinner with the neighbors, we had to go to church. Back then, TV networks and radio stations got fined for saying “hell” on television. Ugh, what kid wants all that? Talk about BORING and LAME….
Eddie and I decided early on that we had to go the opposite direction of our parents and live life to our version of its fullest. We had to party, spend, and above all; do whatever WE wanted to do. “We will show them” we said. We spent large amounts of money on alcohol and lavish items we don’t have now. We both had way too much fun, and we both had our own wake up calls once God decided the fun was over.
Well son as you can probably tell; that attitude of us rebelling against our parent’s boring, safe and simple lifestyles hasn’t worked. Maybe now kids are seeing that all the so called fun and lack of values going on in their homes and the world isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Maybe you and your friends will realize you don’t want to be like your parents. Wanting to rebel against how your parents live and act would be a good thing this time around for most kids.
Eddie and I had little excuse to not listen to our parents and live like they did. You and your generation have every excuse in the book to NOT take after your parents.
My idea is to show you through these posts and videos my efforts to break away from what you are seeing unfold in the world out there. I’m trying to show you what the Bible says a Christian is supposed to live like. I’m trying to show you how much better you can be and do. The life I am trying to lead isn’t only for pastors or ministers or priests; it is the life we all should strive to live.
You can judge for yourself if you want to take after me and the life I am trying to live now. You need to know It’s not always easy, and sometimes you may have a short meltdown. This is what is called the refining process. Four years ago, I would not have even offered help to a stranger in need. Now, I had to get over guilt for not helping someone out more than I did.
It is a process. We get cleaned off, shined and smoothed out with every struggle. This only happens if you learn from it and find the lesson He wants you to get out of it.
It may finally be time you and your friends will listen to new ideas on how to live. Maybe you are getting frustrated enough by the actions of adults; that you will want to try something different. There is hope my son!
Love you bud!

Self centered: “concerned solely or chiefly with one’s own interests, welfare, etc.; engrossed in self; selfish; egotistical”.

Sorry bud, it was me and millions of self centered people like me who have made this country so divided. What else could we expect when we put ourselves and what we want above others? When we live in our own world, it’s hard to see past ourselves to care for others.  Many have kept this bad trait as grown adults. Many have become parents and still can’t get over themselves enough to put their kids or spouse first. “It’s all about me” should become our new national slogan.

Putting others before oneself is one of the principle themes of the Bible. Heck, our main man Jesus was the best example of that ever. He is the Son of God; He didn’t have to come down here and be ridiculed, beaten, spit on, and killed by us lowly humans……but He did! He cared about us more than He cared about what He went through or what most people thought of Him. He died for others, yet the self centered out there can’t even spend 5 minutes to help someone in need unless it’s easy or benefits us.

Look at all the other so called gods people worship out there. How many of them were humble caring servants? How many of them cared more about others than themselves? How many of the fake gods out there believed that all people where created equal? How many of them cried peace instead of war like Jesus did? The answer is none.

This is another proof the Bible is truth. Who would make up a story about a God who came to earth to die for others? One who tells people to turn the other cheek and don’t retaliate doesn’t sound anything like the false gods out there. All other fake gods are made out to be like super-heroes with strength and fury unmatched. Although our God is all powerful and all knowing and has had to show his awesome fury…….he came to suffer, he came to teach, he came to die. This is a radical difference between the One and only true God and the made up ones.

Love you buddy! I am so proud that you haven’t inherited the self-centered gene from me!

Philippians‬ ‭2:3-8‬ “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”

Hey bud, here is another one for you.  Ministers should take a lesson from the Bible…….If God did not call you to the ministry, you should not preach.  No one should choose the ministry for a profession.  The only way God will accept you as a minister is if He called you.  MINISTRY IS A CALLING, NOT A PROFESSION.

Growing up, there wasn’t anyone who thought being a preacher was a great way to make money.  Now, there are more extremely wealthy people in the ministry than I can count. Turn on the TV or computer and you will see they are everywhere.  Guess what?  When the perception of the ministry changes to include the idea that you can get rich from it, more false teachers will get into the “business” of preaching.

Preachers need to quit selling “their” books and start selling “His” book.  Since hardly anyone really knows the Bible, why would you push other books over it?  Why wouldn’t you use the Bible as the primary source for your sermons so you can help people really understand it?  When you only get 1 hour with your congregation each week, why aren’t you taking advantage of it to teach them something from God’s instruction manual on life?

I can’t explain it……maybe some preachers and churches would rather you not know what is in the Bible so they can teach you “their” way instead of “His” way?  Maybe they don’t want you to know the Bible doesn’t approve of their lifestyle or man-made traditions and rules?

Learning the Bible is not rocket science, it just takes time and dedication to read it.  A good teacher who knows the Word helps too. (By the way, the Holy Spirit is a great teacher we have available to us)  BEWARE, one of the side effects of knowing your Bible is being able to easily see all the lies being spewed out there by so called representatives of God.  You will also learn how it can be just as dangerous for people who only know a little about the Bible as it is for those who know nothing at all.  If you know nothing, at least you might be open to hearing what is in there, and your mind isn’t closed because you think you know it already. (That was me most of my life)

I’m sorry to say, it’s starting to get easier to find a false teacher than one who speaks the TRUTH.  How will you know if you are hearing the truth if you don’t spend the time reading His Word for yourself?

Love you son! Keep an eye out, deception is everywhere. Read your Bible and it will all be very clear to you.

Romans 10:13-15: for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Dear Lord. Thank you for allowing me to grow up in this great country! Thank you for the wonderful fellow citizens you have introduced me to over the years.
I know we are disappointing you with our actions and lack of respect for you, I am so sorry! Please continue to be patient with this great nation. Many of us know we are great only because you made it so.
Those of us who read and know your Word understand how fast we are falling away. Maybe you will send someone like Jonah to warn us. Maybe we will be like those evil Ninevites, and repent and turn to you. (The Book of Jonah)
Thank you Lord for opening my eyes…..even if sometimes it weighs heavily on my soul when I see how far off we are.
I pray you will continue to use me…..”Here I am Lord, send me” Isaiah 6:8.
I love you!
Your adopted son,

Zach Bruno remember God always loves you even when you are ignoring Him because you are doing something you know He doesn’t approve of.

He is always there for you, even when you think He should be mad. He will still hear your prayers, even when your guilt takes you forever to reach out to Him.

I love you slugger!

Hey bud. Let’s pretend we could put a number to eternity. Let’s just say that number is 80 years.
Now lets look at our lifespan here on Earth relative to the 80 years that we are saying hypothetically equals eternity.

Using some theory that I am sure I learned in school……..our lifespan here on earth would account for less than a second of eternity. So, if eternity = 80 years, less than a second of those 80 years would be spent on earth.

Can you see how limited our time here is in relation to eternity? This is exactly why those $200 pair of sneakers that help pay OBJ millions aren’t worth it. Our time is short, buy 20 pairs of $10 used sneakers and give them out to the homeless instead. This is the attitude that will help prepare you for eternity where most of our time will be spent.

Love ya little fella!

I have been thinking a lot lately about how God protects and blesses those who love Him and put Him first. Those who try their best to live as He would want them to live. Those who trust in what God promised He would do for them.
There are countless examples in the Bible of great men and women who were rewarded for their faith. Their faith in Him is what mattered most to our Almighty God. Although none of them were perfect, and their lives weren’t always peaches and cream, their reward came from their relationship with God. He protected them before they were even called to duty, because unlike them, God knew what was coming. He knew how they would respond to His call so He did everything to protect them until they were ready for the task. He prepared them, many times years before they would ever even use the tools God blessed them with for the job.
There were so many stupid things I did growing up that I look back on now and think: “wow, why did God help me through that one? Why has He been so patient with me, even now?” I think it ‘s because He knows that eventually I will come around and do what He has called me to do. I’m thinking I must live out His will in my life some day or why would he bless me, look out for me, and guide me like He has?
There are no coincidences in life. God knows everything. He knows what decisions we will make with the free will He gave us. He knew I would say “yes” before he even created the earth. He knows how I felt in my heart as a young man, and He knows how I feel today.
I always knew He was there, even if I chose to ignore Him. I prayed to Him when I needed help, at least those times I didn’t think there was any way I could fix it myself. In a way, at least going to Him, even if only in extreme circumstances, was more than most people probably do. He always answered my prayers, even though he knew the next day I wouldn’t even remember what He did for me.
If God saw that my future was a complete reversal of the work he Has done over these last 4 years in my life; I highly doubt He would have been as patient with me as He has been.
I guess we will soon see my boy!

I wonder how long I’ll have to wander in the wilderness before I get into the promised land? I can’t imagine how awful it would be without His help to survive here. I can’t even think of what life would look like if I thought this world was all there was for me.

I’m soooooooooooo grateful for God’s promise that death is the beginning of life for we who believe!

Love you bud!

Hey bud, here is more hypocrisy I want to share with you. It appears everyone forgot that when Obamacare was passed “NO ONE” in the senate or house actually read it. In fact, I was probably one of the few who did. The law was only an outline when it passed; there was no meat to it at all. Thousands and thousands of pages followed that initial release of the law because there was nothing in it. Yet, now everyone on capital hill is freaking out because Trump didn’t do the same thing and just ram his solution down our throats. Thankfully, after receiving good advice, he is waiting to make sure it will work and that there is actual substance to it before it is passed.
The majority of democrats are holding on to their support of Obamacare even in light of the FACTS that it isn’t working and will implode. If this doesn’t show they are out of touch with reality, I don’t know what will.
The hypocrisy drives me nuts. and I know you are seeing it every day. Maybe seeing all us two faced people will help you and your generation learn and become truth tellers, not hypocritical scare mongers. Maybe you will be able to work together towards solutions instead of holding on to dying positions at any cost. Maybe you guys will be able to admit your mistakes and move forward to fix them.
You are growing up in a world where everyone says one thing and does the opposite. It’s happening in our churches, it’s happening in our schools, it’s happening in DC and you witness it everywhere by everyone. Remember, there is only One who will never disappoint and who never was,is, or will be a hypocrite.
Maybe this is why so many hate Him. He isn’t like everyone else they see as examples in this world.
Love you young fella!
John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

Dear God, I didn’t ask for this, but you gave it to me anyway. I didn’t have a clue what I was signing up for when you started me on this journey of reading and studying the Bible almost 5 years ago. I had no idea how little I knew, and I had no idea how understanding the Bible would greatly impact me and others around me.

I would never have thought that the overwhelming majority of people don’t know what the Bible really says. I never would have guessed that those who “think” they know the Bible would be the hardest to talk to about it. I wouldn’t have thought for a second that people who go to church every Sunday would have so many excuses for not reading everything that is in that great Book of yours.

I didn’t know you would make every false teaching and Bible misunderstanding I heard jump out and hit me like a ton of bricks. I never would have believed the massive number of churches that fail to teach the Truth, or how many preachers you didn’t call and don’t approve of. I couldn’t have foreseen that once you showed me the Truth it would be so hard to hold back from telling others about it. I didn’t know that “daily” I would have to be a passionate defender of your Word. I didn’t realize how outnumbered I would be.

It never even crossed my mind that trying to educate other Christians for false beliefs would make them so defensive and leave me so dismayed. I definitely did not know how depressing it would be when you opened my eyes to what the world really thinks of you and your Word. I didn’t realize how many people use the phrase “we all have different interpretations of the Bible”, or how many rely on others to tell them about it instead of reading it themselves. I didn’t think about how guilty people would feel and how that guilt would cause them to deny the Truth instead of trying to change.

Lord, thanks for this awesome responsibility! Thank you for the lessons you are teaching me every day. Thank you for helping me understand that I have to prepare harder for those who “think” they know your Word than I have to for those who have never read it.

I’m sorry I got frustrated tonight. I’m sorry I started to feel sorry for myself about how difficult this road you have me traveling down is and will be. I can read story after story in the Bible to see that these feelings are typical of all who know the Truth and try to help others realize it. I know I am not alone and you are always with me.

I’m trying Lord. Please continue to be patient with me. Please continue to use me as you will. Thank you for knowing I could handle it with your help. Thank you for equipping me with the tools to do the job. Thank you for creating me for this purpose.

Please help me worry more about what pleases you than what pleases others.

I love you!

Your son.

Matthew 5:19: Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Bud, its days like today that I like to sit back and reflect.
There wasn’t an hour in it that was filled with neglect.

I was fortunate that “if” it turns out to be my last day,
I got to spend it with family and I watched the kids play.

I got to hang out with some out of town cousins of mine,
and an aunt whose husband has about run out of time.

I watched a sad movie with your mom and didn’t even cry.
I got to stare at that wonderful twinkle she has in her eye.

I got to experience the pride only a father can feel.
I got to share a love that was so incredibly real.

I got to give out lots of hugs to many people I love,
and I gave all the credit for it to our Lord up above.

I didn’t worry about politics or crazy things going on.
I lived today just in case tomorrow I’m gone.

Love you son! Live for today, love all you can,
I’ll be back at it tomorrow if that is His plan.

Romans 12:9-13: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Hey son, I love you! If you haven’t noticed, we have a huge disagreement on immigration in our nation. We are very passionate, and very divided on how we should handle entry for “illegal” and “legal” foreign born folks into our great country.
I can tell you, my heart hurt seeing the kids of the woman who was deported back to Mexico last night from Phoenix. I can’t say I would have handled it any differently had it been my mom. I truly believe their mom was just trying to survive and take care of them. I also believe she should have known better than to commit a felony by using a stolen social security # to get a job. I would assume she regrets that decision and probably thought about it a lot on that van ride down to Nogales.
As always, I look to the Bible for answers. I asked God to help me determine what His will would be in cases like this young mother’s. As usual, there are many out there who point to verses like Exodus 22:21, Leviticus 19:33-34, and Matthew 25:35. In fact, even people who don’t know or read the Bible point to those verses and criticize any Christian who believes the Bible has more to tell. As I’ve told you before, we must understand the whole story and will of God before we can determine what is right or wrong. If you continue to read the Bible you will see God has a different take on things than most people think.
I believe with all my heart that Christians are to have compassion and mercy towards immigrants. I also believe the United States should have a more compassionate and merciful immigration policy. However, this is not the question we are facing here. The question is whether it is wrong to violate a nation’s borders and ignore its immigration laws.
Romans 13: 1-7 makes it very clear that we are to obey the laws of the government unless it forces us to disobey a command of God. (Acts 5:29) Illegal immigration is breaking the law of the United States of America. I have not read anything in my years of studying the Bible that disallows a sovereign nation from having immigration laws. I can only conclude that violating the law is against what He teaches us.
Many will say that our laws here in the US are unfair or unjust and they discriminate against others and therefore it is ok to violate them. However Romans 13:1-7 does not say it is ok to violate a law just because it is perceived as unjust. Paul, who wrote the book of Romans, lived under the authority of the Roman Empire. There were many laws that were unjust, unfair, and blatantly evil. Still, Paul instructed Christians to submit to the government.
I believe the majority of illegal immigrants in the US have come for a better life, to provide for their families, and to escape poverty. These are good intentions. However, it is not biblical to violate a law to achieve a “good.” Caring for the poor, orphans, and widows is something the Bible commands us to do (Galatians 2:10; James 1:27; 2:2–15). However, the biblical fact that we are to care for the unfortunate does not mean we should violate the law in doing so.
What does the Bible tell us is the solution to illegal immigration? It’s pretty simple………….don’t do it; obey the laws. If we don’t agree, we have the right as citizens to ask for change to these laws. If you believe the law is unjust, you can still do everything that is “legally” within your power to change it. (Pray, petition, vote, peacefully protest, etc.) As Christians we should be the first people to step forward and seek change to laws we believe are not right or unfair. We should also follow God’s will by obeying the government He has placed over us.
I will pray for the mom who had to leave her kids behind, and I will pray for their family.
1 Peter 2:13-14: Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

HI there young fella. I have to tell you there are days when I look back and think about how much easier it was being self centered and in my own world. When I didn’t care about anyone but myself, I hardly paid attention to what others where doing or what they believed in. They could have jumped off a cliff and I probably wouldn’t have noticed.

Now, it is so tough to see people criticize God or Jesus here on social media. It hurts even more to see friends and/or family posting negative things about our Savior, or opening my eyes to the fact they don’t think He exists. These are good people. People I would love the opportunity to spend eternity with.

Here is what I learned from the Bible…….more will deny Him than will accept Him. This is why it’s called a “narrow” road that leads to heaven. All we can do is keep living by example and pray for them. I pray every night for my friends and family. I pray that God will help stir something up in their heart that draws them closer to Him or opens their eyes.

Son, we may never know what kind of impact we have on others we care about. Sometimes the words we say or the life we live doesn’t seem like it is doing any good. I’ll just say this: God works in mysterious ways. It might not be until someone is on their death bed or has some major scare, before the words we have said or actions we have shown will hit home to them. Just keep praying, just keep caring, never give up hope that even just one of them will come to the Truth!

I love you more than ever stud!

1 Timothy‬ ‭2:3-4: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” ‭‭

Romans 10:1: “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.”

‭‭Matthew 7:14: “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Hey bud, as I have done many times before, I feel the need to again apologize for what I and others of my generation have done to you. We have failed you and your friends.
We have obviously let things slide and were more concerned about ourselves than what was transpiring in this country. We let things get to the point where they are now. This craziness that we see in real life and read in the news every day didn’t just start out of thin air.
We knew your teachers and professors were spreading opinions instead of facts. We knew getting a divorce, not letting you see your other parent, and not teaching you the Bible would affect you. We knew killing hundreds of thousands of unborn children would change the dynamic of our world. We knew all this was coming, but we took the easy way out and ignored it.
Son, there is no way that most kids in your generation and beyond will have a better America than we did. There is no way that love will ever trump hate again in this nation. Instead, we have taught you how to be indifferent. We have taught you that not agreeing with someone gives you an absolute right to shut them down and not listen. We taught you how to act and what to say to get your way. We taught you that hate is normal.
There is only one way we can make up for what we have done. There is only one thing that will bring back hope to you and your friends. It’s the only thing that keeps me from going berserk. We can prepare you for what you face by showing you what the end looks like and teaching you how to deal with it.
For most, unfortunately, the end is not a pretty picture. Chaos in the streets, fear, and the loss of our so called American freedom. Most will live life in a bubble, afraid to even leave the house. The good news is that you have the Bible to help you through. The Bible talks a lot about what will happen in the last days, but it also teaches us what we can do to prepare for it.
It’s simple, put your trust in God. Make him #1 in your life and study His words of advice every day. Pray constantly and ask Him for help. If you do this, God will not always save you “from” the craziness of the world, but he will save you “in” it. You won’t be able to avoid it all, but you will be free from it all. You won’t have hope for this world, but you will have the hope of the next one.
You know me, I am not Mr. doom and gloom, I am just very concerned at what is happening out there. I am convinced we are living in the last days, but also know things will get much worse before this world is gone. How do I know? It’s in the Bible.
For those of us who are saved and believe in the words in that great book, we have eternity without wars, without hate, and abounding in love to look forward to. This is what will get you through. It won’t be easy, but at least you will be equipped to handle it.
Love you son, good luck!
2 Timothy 3:1-4: But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—

Hey slugger. We live in a world where everyone seems to pick and choose only the verses they think suit them best from the Bible. They quote small pieces of it’s words to either prove their point or disprove someone else’s. Many a post on social media and in user comments of online news stories are riddled with bits and pieces of scripture from Christians and non-believers alike………both trying to prove they are right about what the Bible says.

Those who don’t believe in God like to point to verses they say justify their conclusion that He is a chauvinistic uncaring and strict dictator. They pick a verse from the Bible and compare it to another one to try and show that the Bible contradicts itself or that God all the sudden changed His mind.

At the same time, many Christians only point to verses where the Bible talks about sins they just “have to” point out their neighbor is doing. Some Christians only read or discuss verses that make them feel warm and fuzzy, while avoiding so called hard to explain ones or those that make them feel guilty or uncomfortable.

Son, a little knowledge of the Word of God is a dangerous thing. To learn just a little will tend to confuse you. You need an overall view of the Bible before you start deciding what is right and what is wrong. Let the Word (itself), teach you. It takes time to read and study the Bible; something most people just won’t do. There is no “cliff notes” version, you must put in the time.

I thought I knew so much about what the Bible said before I even read it all. Wow, was I off on the Truth that lies in those pages. You can’t just read it and try to understand it with your head. It takes your heart, and help from the One who breathed it into existence. Once you have read it, studied it, and know the whole story, you will see there are no contradictions. You will learn that He loves us more than you could have ever imagined. You will know the Bible is a story of God’s incredible grace, but you will also learn few will accept that gift.

Once you know the Bible, your view of the world will change. It will open your eyes to all the contradictory teaching out there. You will know why you can’t pick and choose.

Love you stud!
