ARE YOU READY FOR THE TRUTH?
PREDICTING THE END
Hey bud, so another so called Christian is predicting the end of the world tomorrow. It’s crazy how people bend the truth of the Bible or they ignore any verses that contradict what they are preaching.
Yes, without a doubt there are many end times prophecies throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament that people can use to show we are close. Yes, most of those warning signs have already happened, and yes I personally believe we are getting very close to the end.
BUT, Jesus said it in his own words below. No one will know when. That means David Meade is false. It’s an easy test…….If someone says they know “the end” is on this date, or in this year, ask them about Mark 13:32 or Matthew 34:36.
We should always live every day like it could be our last here on earth. No one will ever know which day that will actually be, so don’t believe anyone who tells you they do.
Mark 13:32-33 ESV: But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.”
Love you young fella!
Dad
YOU CAN FEEL IT.
Hey bud. This verse below is so true. No one has an excuse, because all can see and feel inside their hearts the wonders of our creator. Not all will “choose” to believe just from that “feeling” though. This is where we as believers come in. Are we showing them what faith looks like, or are we turning them off because of our hypocrisy?
Sadly, many come to try and know Him; only to see the men and women who claim to represent him lie and cheat and hate. We are what they see. What we do and say is so important if we truly want to make a difference bud.
I just feel so horrible for people who have been turned off on God by the fake, uncaring nature they witnessed from their church and or Christians. They can also look back at history and read about the stupid and evil things people did in the name of Christianity.
However son; just like you can’t blame me and your mom and how we raised you for things you do as an adult…………those who choose “not” to believe can’t blame it on anyone or anything else when they stand before the Judge of all.
I am comforted by this verse as well as the fact the Bible is so available to read for anyone. If they want to know the truth, it is right there.
Romans 1:20. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Love you young fella!

IT’S TIME TO STAND UP
My fellow Christians and God fearing friends. It is time to stand up and show the world what we are made of! It’s time we start acting like Christians. It’s time to step up our game. It’s time to show them why our side is better. It’s time for grace and forgiveness and understanding. It’s time to put politics aside and start living the life that others will want to mirror. It’s time to rely on God and not our politicians.
We won’t win them over by engaging in useless rhetoric. We won’t win them over by preaching but not practicing. Understand where they are coming from. Love them, show them, and answer them if they ask you why you are so calm in this storm. People are scared, angry, hopeless……doesn’t this sound like an opportune time to show them there is a solution? Don’t know how a Christian should act? Open the Bible, read it.
Let’s get er done.
IT’S STARTING TO PAY OFF
NO RULES NO REASON
SOLAR ECLIPSE HAS NOTHING ON THIS
FREEDOMS HAVE CONSEQUENCES
I DON’T REMEMBER THIS ONE
Hey son, just wanted to start out by saying how proud I am of you! You are an awesome kid! I can’t believe you are in 10th grade…..sick! haha
This is a story from the Bible that I don’t remember ever hearing at church. It is a parable that Jesus tells and is a picture of what life will be like after we leave this earth and how far apart heaven and hell are. It is also telling us how we should live while we are still here.
This is why we must always tell our story to all who ask us. We don’t want anyone to end up like the rich man Jesus speaks about below! There is a choice we all must make. We will have to spend eternity living with that choice. I think it is extra terrifying that the rich man can see heaven but can’t get there. Read below:
There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.
Luke 16:19-31 NIV
ON YOUR KNEES
He is there with you right now. All you need to do is find a quiet place and talk to Him. Let Him know what’s on your mind. Let Him know you need His help.
Let Him know you love Him and that you are sorry you don’t lean on Him more. Let Him know you remember what He taught you about fear being the opposite of faith. Let Him know you are struggling with it.
Then listen. Sit there for a half hour. Let God know you are serious. There is nothing He loves more than when we admit we need Him and we can’t do it on our own. He won’t tell you “I told you so” and He won’t force you to love Him and rely on Him.
It’s not too late. Get on your knees.
HAVE YOU SEEN ENOUGH YET?
GET OVER YOURSELF
Self centered: “concerned solely or chiefly with one’s own interests, welfare, etc.; engrossed in self; selfish; egotistical”.
Sorry bud, it was me and millions of self centered people like me who have made this country so divided. What else could we expect when we put ourselves and what we want above others? When we live in our own world, it’s hard to see past ourselves to care for others. Many have kept this bad trait as grown adults. Many have become parents and still can’t get over themselves enough to put their kids or spouse first. “It’s all about me” should become our new national slogan.
Putting others before oneself is one of the principle themes of the Bible. Heck, our main man Jesus was the best example of that ever. He is the Son of God; He didn’t have to come down here and be ridiculed, beaten, spit on, and killed by us lowly humans……but He did! He cared about us more than He cared about what He went through or what most people thought of Him. He died for others, yet the self centered out there can’t even spend 5 minutes to help someone in need unless it’s easy or benefits us.
Look at all the other so called gods people worship out there. How many of them were humble caring servants? How many of them cared more about others than themselves? How many of the fake gods out there believed that all people where created equal? How many of them cried peace instead of war like Jesus did? The answer is none.
This is another proof the Bible is truth. Who would make up a story about a God who came to earth to die for others? One who tells people to turn the other cheek and don’t retaliate doesn’t sound anything like the false gods out there. All other fake gods are made out to be like super-heroes with strength and fury unmatched. Although our God is all powerful and all knowing and has had to show his awesome fury…….he came to suffer, he came to teach, he came to die. This is a radical difference between the One and only true God and the made up ones.
Love you buddy! I am so proud that you haven’t inherited the self-centered gene from me!
Dad
Philippians 2:3-8 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”
MUST BE THE MONEY
Hey bud, here is another one for you. Ministers should take a lesson from the Bible…….If God did not call you to the ministry, you should not preach. No one should choose the ministry for a profession. The only way God will accept you as a minister is if He called you. MINISTRY IS A CALLING, NOT A PROFESSION.
Growing up, there wasn’t anyone who thought being a preacher was a great way to make money. Now, there are more extremely wealthy people in the ministry than I can count. Turn on the TV or computer and you will see they are everywhere. Guess what? When the perception of the ministry changes to include the idea that you can get rich from it, more false teachers will get into the “business” of preaching.
Preachers need to quit selling “their” books and start selling “His” book. Since hardly anyone really knows the Bible, why would you push other books over it? Why wouldn’t you use the Bible as the primary source for your sermons so you can help people really understand it? When you only get 1 hour with your congregation each week, why aren’t you taking advantage of it to teach them something from God’s instruction manual on life?
I can’t explain it……maybe some preachers and churches would rather you not know what is in the Bible so they can teach you “their” way instead of “His” way? Maybe they don’t want you to know the Bible doesn’t approve of their lifestyle or man-made traditions and rules?
Learning the Bible is not rocket science, it just takes time and dedication to read it. A good teacher who knows the Word helps too. (By the way, the Holy Spirit is a great teacher we have available to us) BEWARE, one of the side effects of knowing your Bible is being able to easily see all the lies being spewed out there by so called representatives of God. You will also learn how it can be just as dangerous for people who only know a little about the Bible as it is for those who know nothing at all. If you know nothing, at least you might be open to hearing what is in there, and your mind isn’t closed because you think you know it already. (That was me most of my life)
I’m sorry to say, it’s starting to get easier to find a false teacher than one who speaks the TRUTH. How will you know if you are hearing the truth if you don’t spend the time reading His Word for yourself?
Love you son! Keep an eye out, deception is everywhere. Read your Bible and it will all be very clear to you.
Dad
Romans 10:13-15: for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
ONE NATION UNDER GOD?
REMEMBER THIS
Zach Bruno remember God always loves you even when you are ignoring Him because you are doing something you know He doesn’t approve of.
He is always there for you, even when you think He should be mad. He will still hear your prayers, even when your guilt takes you forever to reach out to Him.
I love you slugger!

SCHOOL IS NOT OUT YET
Hey bud. Let’s pretend we could put a number to eternity. Let’s just say that number is 80 years.
Now lets look at our lifespan here on Earth relative to the 80 years that we are saying hypothetically equals eternity.
Using some theory that I am sure I learned in school……..our lifespan here on earth would account for less than a second of eternity. So, if eternity = 80 years, less than a second of those 80 years would be spent on earth.
Can you see how limited our time here is in relation to eternity? This is exactly why those $200 pair of sneakers that help pay OBJ millions aren’t worth it. Our time is short, buy 20 pairs of $10 used sneakers and give them out to the homeless instead. This is the attitude that will help prepare you for eternity where most of our time will be spent.
Love ya little fella!
Dad
SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT
A WALK IN THE WILDERNESS
I wonder how long I’ll have to wander in the wilderness before I get into the promised land? I can’t imagine how awful it would be without His help to survive here. I can’t even think of what life would look like if I thought this world was all there was for me.
I’m soooooooooooo grateful for God’s promise that death is the beginning of life for we who believe!
Love you bud!
Dad.
HOW EASY WE FORGET
(Re-do) GOD’S VOICE IS NOT PRO CHOICE
From time to time, I don’t get my message across as I intended to through a written post. I recorded a video to help make sure the message is not misunderstood on this subject. Please watch by clicking on the link below.
YOU DIDN’T TELL ME THIS WOULD HAPPEN
Dear God, I didn’t ask for this, but you gave it to me anyway. I didn’t have a clue what I was signing up for when you started me on this journey of reading and studying the Bible almost 5 years ago. I had no idea how little I knew, and I had no idea how understanding the Bible would greatly impact me and others around me.
I would never have thought that the overwhelming majority of people don’t know what the Bible really says. I never would have guessed that those who “think” they know the Bible would be the hardest to talk to about it. I wouldn’t have thought for a second that people who go to church every Sunday would have so many excuses for not reading everything that is in that great Book of yours.
I didn’t know you would make every false teaching and Bible misunderstanding I heard jump out and hit me like a ton of bricks. I never would have believed the massive number of churches that fail to teach the Truth, or how many preachers you didn’t call and don’t approve of. I couldn’t have foreseen that once you showed me the Truth it would be so hard to hold back from telling others about it. I didn’t know that “daily” I would have to be a passionate defender of your Word. I didn’t realize how outnumbered I would be.
It never even crossed my mind that trying to educate other Christians for false beliefs would make them so defensive and leave me so dismayed. I definitely did not know how depressing it would be when you opened my eyes to what the world really thinks of you and your Word. I didn’t realize how many people use the phrase “we all have different interpretations of the Bible”, or how many rely on others to tell them about it instead of reading it themselves. I didn’t think about how guilty people would feel and how that guilt would cause them to deny the Truth instead of trying to change.
Lord, thanks for this awesome responsibility! Thank you for the lessons you are teaching me every day. Thank you for helping me understand that I have to prepare harder for those who “think” they know your Word than I have to for those who have never read it.
I’m sorry I got frustrated tonight. I’m sorry I started to feel sorry for myself about how difficult this road you have me traveling down is and will be. I can read story after story in the Bible to see that these feelings are typical of all who know the Truth and try to help others realize it. I know I am not alone and you are always with me.
I’m trying Lord. Please continue to be patient with me. Please continue to use me as you will. Thank you for knowing I could handle it with your help. Thank you for equipping me with the tools to do the job. Thank you for creating me for this purpose.
Please help me worry more about what pleases you than what pleases others.
I love you!
Your son.
Matthew 5:19: Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
ITS ALL ABOUT TODAY
Bud, its days like today that I like to sit back and reflect.
There wasn’t an hour in it that was filled with neglect.
I was fortunate that “if” it turns out to be my last day,
I got to spend it with family and I watched the kids play.
I got to hang out with some out of town cousins of mine,
and an aunt whose husband has about run out of time.
I watched a sad movie with your mom and didn’t even cry.
I got to stare at that wonderful twinkle she has in her eye.
I got to experience the pride only a father can feel.
I got to share a love that was so incredibly real.
I got to give out lots of hugs to many people I love,
and I gave all the credit for it to our Lord up above.
I didn’t worry about politics or crazy things going on.
I lived today just in case tomorrow I’m gone.
Love you son! Live for today, love all you can,
I’ll be back at it tomorrow if that is His plan.
Dad
Romans 12:9-13: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
THE IMMIGRATION SITUATION
HURT BUT HOPEFUL
HI there young fella. I have to tell you there are days when I look back and think about how much easier it was being self centered and in my own world. When I didn’t care about anyone but myself, I hardly paid attention to what others where doing or what they believed in. They could have jumped off a cliff and I probably wouldn’t have noticed.
Now, it is so tough to see people criticize God or Jesus here on social media. It hurts even more to see friends and/or family posting negative things about our Savior, or opening my eyes to the fact they don’t think He exists. These are good people. People I would love the opportunity to spend eternity with.
Here is what I learned from the Bible…….more will deny Him than will accept Him. This is why it’s called a “narrow” road that leads to heaven. All we can do is keep living by example and pray for them. I pray every night for my friends and family. I pray that God will help stir something up in their heart that draws them closer to Him or opens their eyes.
Son, we may never know what kind of impact we have on others we care about. Sometimes the words we say or the life we live doesn’t seem like it is doing any good. I’ll just say this: God works in mysterious ways. It might not be until someone is on their death bed or has some major scare, before the words we have said or actions we have shown will hit home to them. Just keep praying, just keep caring, never give up hope that even just one of them will come to the Truth!
I love you more than ever stud!
Dad
1 Timothy 2:3-4: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Romans 10:1: “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.”
Matthew 7:14: “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
IS ALL HOPE LOST?
DON’T PICK & CHOOSE
Hey slugger. We live in a world where everyone seems to pick and choose only the verses they think suit them best from the Bible. They quote small pieces of it’s words to either prove their point or disprove someone else’s. Many a post on social media and in user comments of online news stories are riddled with bits and pieces of scripture from Christians and non-believers alike………both trying to prove they are right about what the Bible says.
Those who don’t believe in God like to point to verses they say justify their conclusion that He is a chauvinistic uncaring and strict dictator. They pick a verse from the Bible and compare it to another one to try and show that the Bible contradicts itself or that God all the sudden changed His mind.
At the same time, many Christians only point to verses where the Bible talks about sins they just “have to” point out their neighbor is doing. Some Christians only read or discuss verses that make them feel warm and fuzzy, while avoiding so called hard to explain ones or those that make them feel guilty or uncomfortable.
Son, a little knowledge of the Word of God is a dangerous thing. To learn just a little will tend to confuse you. You need an overall view of the Bible before you start deciding what is right and what is wrong. Let the Word (itself), teach you. It takes time to read and study the Bible; something most people just won’t do. There is no “cliff notes” version, you must put in the time.
I thought I knew so much about what the Bible said before I even read it all. Wow, was I off on the Truth that lies in those pages. You can’t just read it and try to understand it with your head. It takes your heart, and help from the One who breathed it into existence. Once you have read it, studied it, and know the whole story, you will see there are no contradictions. You will learn that He loves us more than you could have ever imagined. You will know the Bible is a story of God’s incredible grace, but you will also learn few will accept that gift.
Once you know the Bible, your view of the world will change. It will open your eyes to all the contradictory teaching out there. You will know why you can’t pick and choose.
Love you stud!
Dad
